Warning: Rock climbing can be dangerous!

Rock climbing presents situations, sometimes beyond your control, in which you can be injured or killed! Every year, many such injuries and deaths are chronicled in Accidents in North American Mountaineering (American Alpine Club), and other publications, for the purpose of cautioning and educating climbers.

If you are interested in learning to climb, we urge you to seek out the tutelage of experienced climbing guides. The proper use of climbing gear and the practice of good techniques are both skills crucial to safe climbing. It is our goal to focus on teaching you safe climbing.

Even so, particularly in an outdoors setting, climbing is often characterized by and not limited to such unpredictable elements as weather, breaking or falling rock, interference by other climbing parties, miscommunications, mistakes, etc.

Nothing on this site should be taken as advice or instruction. Climbing with us requires you to fill out a "Release and Acknowledgement of Risk" and "Medical Information Form" prior to any outing. Despite the risk involved in climbing, we believe that it is beneficial to provide a service that promotes safe climbing and education.

The acceptance of personal risk and self-reliance in climbing is one of the aspects that make it such a rewarding experience. If you are not willing to accept and take responsibility for such risk, we suggest you take up yoga instead. :)
